Amanda Joy, founder of Sorted by Joy, home organizing service

Sorted by Joy offers professional organizing and moving support in Tiny Township, Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay Township, and surrounding Simcoe County communities.

I work with people who are going through a transition - whether that’s preparing for a move, downsizing, or simply trying to make their home feel like home again.

About Sorted by Joy

Founder, Sorted by Joy

I didn’t set out to become a professional organizer, but looking back, everything kind of led me here.

After graduating from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Interior Decorating, I spent several years in a corporate role that had me moving around Ontario. Packing up and settling into new spaces over and over again made me more intentional about what I kept, what I let go of, and how a space can actually support your day-to-day life.

Over time, organizing became something I genuinely enjoyed - creating spaces that felt calm, functional, and easier to live in.

The turning point came later, during a time when someone I loved needed more support than I knew how to give. Navigating that experience showed me how overwhelming life transitions can be, and how much people are carrying during those moments.

That’s what led me to explore aging-in-place design, downsizing, and more supportive ways of organizing a home.

Sorted by Joy grew from that - not just as a service, but as a way to help people feel more supported in their spaces.

This work isn’t about having a perfect home. It’s about creating a space that feels easier to manage, more functional, and aligned with where you are right now.

Whether you’re preparing your home for sale, downsizing after decades, or just trying to get things under control, my approach is always the same - thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in care.

Creating calm, organized spaces that support you through every chapter of life.
