Trained Professional Organizer & Transition Support Partner

Meet Amanda Joy

Whether you're preparing for a move, downsizing a family home, settling into a new space, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the things around you, my goal is to help make the process feel lighter, calmer, and more manageable.

Because sometimes the hardest part isn't organizing a space — it's knowing where to begin.

How Sorted by Joy All Began

I studied Interior Decorating at Fanshawe College and spent years working in a corporate role that had me moving throughout Ontario more times than I can count.

Packing up, settling into new homes, and starting over taught me a lot about what truly matters in a space — and how much easier life feels when your home supports you instead of working against you.

But the experience that ultimately changed the direction of my life wasn't a move.

It was my dad.

When he was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare neurological disease, our family entered a season filled with difficult decisions, changing needs, and overwhelming transitions.

Caring for him showed me how completely overwhelming a life transition can be, and how much people are quietly carrying in those moments.

I also saw how meaningful practical support can be.

That experience stayed with me long after he passed away.

It's what inspired me to stop waiting, trust my instincts, and build something of my own.

Sorted by Joy exists because of him.

Giving Back

PSP changed my family's life.

That's why giving back remains an important part of this business.

For every completed project, $25 is donated to the PSP Society of Canada, supporting patients, care partners, families, and ongoing research for PSP and related neurological conditions.

It's a small way to honour my dad's memory while supporting other families navigating similar journeys.
